Adriano Desideri


Adriano is the CEO and co-founder of SOLHO.

He obtained his MSc from TU Delft in Sustainable Energy Technology, and his PhD from the University of Liege, Belgium in 2016 on distributed renewable energy systems. During his PhD, Adriano collaborated with researchers from MIT (USA), DTU (DK), and FBK (IT). In 2012, he co-founded a technical consulting business working with two companies based in London, UK, and Washington DC, USA on designing and optimizing power cycles for Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) application. This experience and his vision for a cleaner and more sustainable world led him to the creation of SOLHO.

Adriano is responsible for the business developments, the PR contact, and he bears responsibility for legal and financial matters, team coherence and HR.

Emiliano Casati


Emiliano is the CTO and co-founder of SOLHO.

He obtained his MSc in Energy Conversion from Politecnico di Milano, and his PhD from TU Delft in 2014, working on innovative thermal solar systems for the generation of power and heat. Emiliano is the recipient of the European individual fellow-ship Marie S. Curie-Global, and is working as a postdoctoral research associate at ETH Zurich, in the PREC group. His research interests are on advanced energy storage systems for solar plants. During the time spent at TUD, together with Adriano, he started to conceive the serious technology-transfer effort which later led to SOLHO. His main goal is to disseminate some of the knowledge and results achieved during his studies into the society, to avoid they remain only on paper!

Emiliano is responsible for advancing the current technology and for nurturing the ideas for future developments.

Simone Amicabile


Simone is the Operating Officer of SOLHO.

He studied energy engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, including two periods abroad as an exchange student and research fellow at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). In 2014, he joined the ARES team at FBK research center, Italy. Here, his main research activities were focused on the system integration of renewable technologies and energy storage solutions. In 2017, he worked for 2 years at Zuccato Energia where he was responsible for contracting, planning and project management for the Asian market.

Simone is responsible for software developments, project management and the technical coordination between partners.

Claire Tange


Claire is supporting SOLHO as the Financial Officer.

Though graduated as an Engineer from TU Delft, Claire opted for a career in finance and she became a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 2016. She worked as an investment banker in both London and Amsterdam for nearly 6 years and this expertise was very valuable when she joined electric vehicle charging start-up Fastned as its first CFO. She played an important role in the growth of the business and in her 4 years with Fastned, the company raised over € 35 million from multiple investors, went public (IPO-ed in 2016) and grew from no revenues to € 500k annually. Currently, she works as CFO of Dott, an e-mobility company and she is supporting SOLHO as CFO. She's particularly motivated to work with companies that make the world a better place.

Claire is responsible for the financial strategy, optimization of the financial processes and raising funds.
