TESMOD - Modular thermal energy storage unit

SOLHO developed the TESMOD, an advanced modular thermal energy storage. The TESMOD demonstrator was built and tested in 2018 in collaboration with the Power & Propulsion research group of TU Delft. The system features a closed-loop where the heat transfer fluid is used to charge and discharge the TESMOD at working temperatures up to 120 °C. Several experimental campaigns, performed during August and September 2018, simulated the charging and discharging processes under different operating conditions, demonstrating the technical feasibility of the TESMOD concept.  The TESMOD demonstrator is currently located at The Green Village in Delft, The Netherlands and it is used as experimental facility and as showcase for potential customers
